[URGENT] Unable to Upgrade to PRO and credit limit reached within 15 minutes of work

Hi OpenAI,

This is probably an urgent issue for you as much as it is for me. Your pay wall have PROBLEMS. I was unable to upgrade my plan from my Plus plan to Pro plan and it’s been days. My credit card on file works perfectly and based in the US, so should be no issue.

I can see why that’d be frustrating especially if it’s been stuck for a few days.

Upgrading from Plus - Pro usually goes through right away, so this feels more like something in the checkout flow getting hung up rather than an issue with the card itself.

A couple things that are worth trying:

  • Opening the upgrade page in an incognito window or a different browser (sessions can get stuck sometimes)
  • Turning off any VPNs or privacy extensions during checkout

If it’s still not going through, could you share what you’re seeing when you try? Like an error message, a spinner that never finishes, or just nothing happening?

Also curious, has anyone else run into this recently, or does it seem isolated to your setup?

Since it’s showing a subscription update error and has been stuck for a few days, this likely needs a closer look on the account side, which we can’t fully dig into from the forum.

Best next step is to reach out to OpenAI Support so they can check what’s going on with the billing/upgrade in the backend: https://help.openai.com

When you do, it’d really help if you can include a HAR (network) file from your browser, that gives the team more detail on what’s happening during the request.
