Same issues! It’s been going on for days and I have conversations that are every day usage and it’s becoming a real pain. A workaround for me that’s a temporary fix is to have the conversations bookmarked, and thus will only work if you’re in the browser. But it’s been getting worse and worse though, as the entire chat would just disappear on you mid-type. Hope a fix is being worked on for this. We’re paying premium and this is what we get.

I’m experiencing the same behavior and am also a paid subscriber. I’d consider this a serious bug and hope it’s being given priority.

I have the same problem.
The conversation would occasionally disappear and reappear, but since yesterday it hasn’t reappeared. If I go to the history and open it it says “unable to load conversation”
I think it deleted itself. It’s frustrating because it was so important and I’m a paid subscriber too…

My workaround is quick. I use the desktop app search function. Search for a keyword I know is in the lost conversation. It appears. Right click, open in broswer. Save the URL for future use and refresh when necessary.
I am using the app on my iPad and chats are popping in and out even during typing. Do you know if there is final solution to this problem?

Hi everyone, so today something strange happened one of my important chats where I do lots of work in my phone application for ChatGPT it just disappeared. I saw it vanishing from the chat list while I was working on it whereas thankfully when I’m in the iPad application of ChatGPT, the chat is still there thank God because I have a lot of important work in this chat but in the phone, I cannot find it anywhere. I reinstalled the app. I logged in and looked back. I am going to history. I’m going to the archive. There is nothing. I don’t know how to fix this. Is this an issue? I’m going for everyone, but I see lots of people putting in this trash. I will appreciate help on these please open AI do something about this. We cannot be losing important documentation or work.

Can you log onto your ChatGPT account via a computer and use a the ChatGPT website browser to locate the chat? My chats also vanish on the iPhone app and iPad app, but I can find it if I use a laptop and a website browser.

Just chiming in to share my frustrations as well. This has been going on for far too long. I am now considering another platform, although so much time and money has gone into training this model.

Respectfully, it has been more than two weeks. I’m experiencing this and it is outrageous for a paid product as much as I would love to rely on this product. This has been really bottlenecking my performance as a businessman you guys either find a solution or we’ll have to find other solutions.

Try Chrome, thats the only one that is working for me, the others keep disappearing and re-appearing.

I tried Chrome but the same thing is a happening. My long threads will disappear then when scrolling up to older messages it will reappear after going to the top (but only temporarily). I do lots of academic research and this cause a big problem due to this problem.
Exact same thing happening to me. My most important conversations are now gone. This needs a fix ASAP or I’m cancelling my subscription and using a different product.

Same! Chatgpt responses start to disappear.
All my chats have most of my messages and the ai’s responses erased; only the few in the beginning and the most recent ones show up. I even exported the data, but the messages are still missing
I admit almost all my chats are quite long, but that is no reason to just straight up erase them. If you guys are testing some chat shortening feature, please hurry it up.
Having the same issue. Just tried to find some of my writing chats I used for whiteboarding ideas and I have NOTHING beyond 5 days ago. Nothing. Not a single thing. This is my ChatGPT on my iphone, which I use constantly for literally everything, and I’m also a Plus subscriber.
**UPDATE: all of my chats are back as of yesterday AM (10/29)

I use ChatGPT this way as well - and all those chats have disappeared. I was actually planning to take a weekend to port everything to Docs so I could make sure I had them for future reference… well… should’ve done that a few weekends ago I guess.

Thanks! That worked for me. It’s the chatgpt app on my Mac that isn’t working.
Anyone else having their chats disappear suddenly today? Says that it can’t restore chats. Really rely on my chats for work, wondering if this is permanent? Thanks
