I got a feedback from the support team after sharing some details and screen record.
I can confirm this is a bug our development team is currently working on and it is a priority. Once we have any news on this we’ll reach back out and give you an update!
Did you get this message from help.openai.com? I think it could be a auto-response from AI. I reported many times and they said
We are currently investigating this issue and will get back to you as soon as we find a solution.
But few days later, I got email saying:
We hope you’re doing well today.
We wanted to follow up and check if you are still experiencing issues logging into your API account due to the “Verify your email” prompt.
It might not be AI, they reached back to me by e-mail without the live chat history attached and asked me for a video screen record. Also the e-mail doesn’t include the legal mention required by the AI Act, unlike the live chat on the help section.
Let’s hope I’m right and we can log back into our accounts soon…
Yep, everything fixed and the team got back to me.
Thank you for your patience while we worked on resolving this issue. I’m happy to inform you that the bug has been fixed, and you should now be able to log in without any trouble.
Yay ; second time it happens to me with apple login + private relay though. They expect too much from devs integrating their login ; they should just make the relay address a regular hide-my-email address that’s not tied to a specific domain ; customer support sometimes uses another domain (.com vs the local one such as .fr), etc.
I encountered the exact same issue. I called Apple Support, and they spent two hours on it, even consulting senior support twice, but they were unable to resolve the problem. In the end, they shifted the responsibility to ChatGPT’s company. As of now, the issue remains unresolved.
Do to this issue, some of my prepaid API credits expired. I’m hoping they’ll refund them or extend them out, since there was no way to access the account, change the email, and support just gave the runaround every time I reached out up until they fixed it.
It’s not the problem on the Apple side. I also contacted Apple support three times. It should have been fixed now. (Kind of) The verification email is no longer required so I can directly log in with my apple ID
