Uploading file to the vector store is stuck at 'in progress'

I used the API to upload files and add them to the vector store, but they have been stuck in the ‘in_progress’ status for over 2 hours.
Please help, could this issue be similar to the one in the following link:

Hello, I have been testing the OpenAI API for vector store usage since today at 9:00 AM KST, but the file uploads have continuously failed. I also attempted to use the Playground, but experienced the same issue. However, the file upload feature consistently fails—only polling occurs and no actual upload is completed. Please assist in resolving this issue. Thank you.

Hello, I’m experiencing the same issue. Even when uploading a very small text file (22 KB), the upload gets stuck in the ‘in progress’ state indefinitely (for over an hour with no progress). Using the manual polling approach in the SDK reveals that the file remains in the ‘in_progress’ state with no error message or transition to ‘completed’.

I think the vector store is down both on the platform and api side. However, I think they haven’t made an announcement on it yet or updated their status on OpenAI Status. Most users reported the same issue on other down detector websites

The API status page must be updated.

Not an admin, but I’ve reported this issue via their help chatbot on https://help.openai.com/en, with reference to this community post, hopefully the status page will be updated soon.

We wanted to showcase a new implementantion to one of our customers and failed horribly due to this vector store issue. Fix it ASAP, plase. It is not acceptable for company of your size.

Given that we all share the same issue, how are you addressing it?

I’m considering implementing a fallback solution using some open-source options or exploring alternative vector stores. Does anyone have suggestions in this regard?

An issue like this occurring twice in a short timeframe, especially with the delays of action from a company of this size, is clearly unacceptable.
