I have been trying to start the “Start your free Plus trial (1 Month)” offer using literallyall my funded cards (Nigeria) for my payment method, but the payment consistently fails.
The error message shown is:
“Payment was not approved”
I also checked the browser Developer Tools console and noticed the following error:
POST https ://r.stripe.com/b net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
What I have already tried:
Different browsers
Incognito/Private mode
Different internet connections
Disabling browser extensions
Unfortunately, the issue still persists.
This problem has been occurring for more than a week, and I have not been able to activate the free trial.
I would like to know:
Is Nigerian debit cards currently supported for ChatGPT Plus subscriptions in Nigeria
Is there any known issue affecting Nigerian payments?
Has anyone else experienced the same problem recently?
Could the Stripe-related console error be connected to the payment failure?
Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
