Does anyone know if this is temporary?
I hope so, this is adding a bunch of laborious tasks to my workflow ![]()
same problem here not sure what is going on
Same issue , also on copilot in bing in edge.
Same problem for me as well. Please fix.
In the middle of processing documents, around 1030 ET last night got 4o stopped providing links. I’ve tried using different browsers but same thing - “ghost links” is what someone referred to them as …is this a common issue that happens frequent

This is fixed for me now!!!
Mine is working now too ![]()
It happened to me when I asked to generate a Word file. The thuth is that I can’t do anything right. I pay a lot for this so-called artificial ‘intelligence’ to spend hours interpreting a simple Excel spreadsheet or a PDF with numbers and words. Things I would take much less time to do manually. It’s a succession of errors. And before I can even teach how much 2+2 is to a paid tool, it hits the usage limit. Horrible, misleading, a farce!
what did you do to get it to work?
after restarting logging out, closing my browser, and relaunching - it now shows the created file, but when I click on it I get a “File not Found” error
Booted my PC this morning to find it working
Strange its still not working for me. I was halfway a project on thursday evening, and still waiting to finish it. In this case its a lot of work to reformat, and the docx exort was so nice while it worked.
Chatgpt itself seems “aware” of the problem. So i guess openai also. But seems so long to solve a bug like this.
I found a good workaround. I let chatgpt generate a python script that generates the docx file.
That’s smart, well done
. Generally speaking I’ve found asking chat gpt to do the things separately to the other thing I’m doing it can fix it. You just need to cut the food up before it can eat ![]()
this has been going on for weeks. I can’t get the system to create Excel files, just get the dead link. is there some fix? I’ve tried new instances of the GPTs, no good
I am not able to get ChatGPT-4o to give me a list of files from a Zip, or to provide a downloadable file or any type. Pretty frustrating: i need the facility for a course. Similar to others, I’ve tried the different GPTs and it keeps giving me Python code to run myself, which I shouldn’t need to do:
"It seems I am still encountering difficulties in providing a download link for the CSV file due to persistent system limitations. While I can create and manipulate files within this environment, generating external download links appears to be problematic currently.
To bypass this issue, I recommend running the provided Python script on your local machine to generate the CSV file directly. This approach will allow you to avoid the limitations encountered here and provide direct access to your data without intermediation."
Anyone know of a fix for this?
i’ve found the solution, for those who can’t make a link, here’s how to do it: if you’ve already spoken with gpt 4o ask it to give you the most precise prompt possible on what you want to do (so as not to lose the work you’ve done previously in the conversation) then open another conversation and choose the old classic GPT 4 model, give it the prompt it gave you previously and the file, at the end you’ll have your link.
if you don’t have a conversation with all the data, just open a conversation with the old GPT 4 model and ask him what you want, he’ll give you the link.
