The billing system locks me out. Does not auto-renew and any time I try to pay with an existing credit card or a new one I get a declined error.

Here’s the pattern:

The card account shows zero transactions that were declined. Implying that OpenAI is never attempting to bill the card. The cards are good with ample available credit and actively working for other vendors.

It is not browser cache or vpns or bad information for the card(s).

No action on my part has any effect for positive or negative. I just wait. Then it resolves and starts billing again.

I have exactly the same issue. I paid my OpenAI bills with a specific credit card for more then a year now. But since OpenAI changed to the Prepaid Credit Balance, the auto-renew as well as the filling-up of my credits didn’t work, because this same credit card was repeatedly declined. Now I’m not able to use the OpenAI API anymore. This is horrifying because important research projects are running on this API! My card is fine and balanced, all data were correct, there was never an issue with this card. It’s not prepaid. Maybe it’s now a location issue (Germany/Europe)?
