Sora Credits for ChatGPT Team Subscriptions - Plans?

Oh my god, my GPTs get deleted if I switch to Pro and delete my Teams account? My business runs on these. Is there really no way to get access to Sora apart from by losing years of data and work?

This was the nail in the coffin for me to move both ChatGPT teams and enterprise (several companies I am fractional CIO with) over to Claude Teams.

This was such a misstep and false advertising.

OpenAI needs to let us out of our 1 year Teams subscriptions so we can switch to plus. Just like the screenshot said, we get everything in ChatGPT Plus. If you are going to change the terms of the contract after I already signed it and paid for it, at least let me out of it. Seems illegal.

This is a “bait and switch” but it’s also just a bad business mistake – so many companies switched to Teams from Pro and now they’re being left with a bad taste – not to mention that there’s no clear, actual path for businesses who want to give their users Sora access. This is just going to encourage “shadow IT” for lack of a better term.

OpenAI needs to come up with a solution ASAP; they can’t leave it like this. I get they have individual customers but business customers are going to be their bread and butter in the years to come; I don’t understand why they’re treating their business plans like an afterthought.

I have a hypothesis related the fact that we still have 8 days remaining for Shipmas.

Maybe OpenAI has something special for us with our companies and families on the Team subscriptions. They can’t speak to it yet without spoiling the surprise.

I hope so, as I was thoroughly dissappointed when my Teams switch started to degrade my prior Plus experience; No public sharing of prompts was the first immediate surprise; It seems pretty fragmented how they are managing the access to their various services. It makes me wonder just how much they are using AI in the planning process, and stumbling into typical halicination scenarios, that completely miss customer sentiment, when they go to implement the campaigns. Given the investment, I expect them to figure it out pretty quickly. Otherwise, it will be hard to pass up testing a migration to Gemini at the end of my contract term. Its already pressing hard into my enterprise accounts that use workspace, and supposedly come with a similar set of walled-garden expectations.

Hi folks, it seemed to me it might be productive to create a new thread for discussion about desired features or changes to the Team subscription, so I’ve created one:

This has to be illegal. The site said “EVERYTHING IN PLUS”. I have paid for a year of Teams and I will not accept to be scammed.
If we let this slide will be the start of abuse from AI companies.

Hopping in the thread to state my frustration as well. I only upgraded to teams because I needed higher usage, but I assumed when I switched and it said everything in Pro, that it would be the same experience. I’m paying more than a Pro account and I feel swindled into the yearly payment. Is there a way to downgrade my account and get a partial refund so I can use my account as I intended? Why is OpenAI silent about this when it’s such an active thread?

Agreed with the frustrations mentioned above: It is unfortunate to be locked into the Team plan (whereas it was being advertised as Plus but for your whole team/family) and not be able to access Sora :frowning:

Took me days to get into Sora only to find out teams does not allow me to do anything. Huge mistake upgrading.

This feels unfair. I’m extremely frustrated that the Team plan features list has changed right after I switched from Plus to Team and paid for an entire year.

If you are like myself, you hit sora dot com once a day to quickly see if anything has changed. I am hopeful Shipmas initiatives are focused on these Sora threads and any potential fallouts.

It seems possible that the oversight may be in that Sora data needs to be outside the walled-garden of not-used-by-training-by-default. It is novel in some ways, and OpenAI likely need it to be hyper-analyzed, both to improve, and mitigate unforseen outputs from creating unecessary liability. If this makes sense, then Sora’s current release management policies may be in conflict with the Teams/Enterprise walled-garden promise, putting some of the features of each in conflict with each other.

I suspect the reason your email can not be reused coming from Teams to Plus_Pro, is that it is used as a primary key somewhere in their, likely extensive, compliance framework, and their model does not simply or easily support having the same key pointing to two datasets that have completely different compliance handling. Likely even when your data is kept out of training in Pro_Plus via the opt-out flag, there are a number of meta that are rolled into the analytics, monitoring, etc. that are separate from how Team_Enterprise operates. For instance, I suspect less prompt filtering is one of the reasons why the outputs can not be shared by a link outside Team

Hopefully they can create an authorization, for new accounts with emails that match a Team_Enterprise account credential, that grant a number of credits for use. The tricky part will be ensuring that users know their terms are changing as they move between the services; A footer here, maybe an extra dialogue there; Hopefully these are the things they are working on, if this is indeed the situation.

The Manage Service Terms and Credentials GPT has probably already mapped out some changes and is just duking it out with the Marketing and Revenue Generation GPT. If they applied the newer models to the task of summarizing and developing potential outcomes to these chat threads, we might get there a bit faster.

Also checking in because I was convinced Teams should have everything Plus has and was surprised to find out neither I, nor my teammates, could access Sora.

I am also venting my frustration. I was told joining teams would have everything the plus had but with higher limits. i.e., I was told it was an upgrade, hence why I pay more. So plus users get access to more but pay less and I’m over a barrel and can’t downgrade to plus from teams.

I asked for a refund for the year I just paid.
I didn’t expect to have to deal with this kind of bs with OpenAI. No patience for this kind of practice and sadly this comes to show the direction the future of AI is going for the end user.

No way this was a mistake.
Best case scenario they’re testing the limits here and ultimately they don’t care about unsatisfied customers, we have an AI cartel forming and this was a wake up call you me, who was super excited by the amazing technology but blind to the reality of capitalism: for profit healthcare, for profit AI, for profit environmental destruction.

So frustrating! I am let down more and more everyday by this company. Can i get a refund on my yearly payment?

It looks like OpenAI wants people to go out of the Team subscription because it is not worth it for them not to train on their data for so little gain, given how much they need that novel data.

I canceled mine, btw, and went with Pro, and many people are, so I guess it’s working, but it’s a shady move.
