Seeking Help with NSURLErrorDomain -1005 Error When Logging into GPT

Hello everyone,

I’ve been encountering some issues while trying to log into the GPT application and I’m hoping to seek some assistance and advice from this community. Every time I attempt to log in, I encounter the following error message:

“Something went wrong. Please make sure your device’s date and time are set properly. Check that your internet connection is stable, then restart the app and try again. (code:9035129E-47A5-4B85-A364-71C1D79663F1, NSURLErrorDomain, -1005)”

I’ve already tried some common troubleshooting methods, such as ensuring the device’s date and time settings are correct, checking the stability of the internet connection, and restarting the application, but the problem persists.

I’m using an M1 chip Mac device, and all other applications and network connections are working fine; this issue only occurs when attempting to log into the GPT application.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or assistance on how to resolve this problem!

Trying to login via Google.

I HAVE FOUND A FIX FOR ALL MACOS USERS!

  1. Turn on two factor Google Authentication for your ChatGPT OpenAI account.
  2. SIGN OUT of your Apple ID/Account on your Mac.
  3. Log into ChatGPT. This should fix the issue and log you in without a problem,
  4. Sign back into your Apple ID/Account & enjoy!.
I had been losing my mind over this bullshit for months and months. I’m so glad I have finally gotten over this obstacle, I hope this method works for all of you too, GOOD LUCK!
