I look after Software Engineering at ‘Outreach EMR’, a UK charity that writes, and didstributes for free, an Electronic Medical Records System aimed at Primary Care settings in Low Resource Regions.
I’d like to start RESEARCHING how we can AUGMENT diagnoses and treatment plans using AI…one day, we’d like to provide Trained Clinicians, with a ‘second opinion’, NOT replace them!
The tool would only be used from with the System BY those clinicians.
How do we go about getting permission to unlock these features with ChatGPT, so that we can prototype and test a solution?
Telling someone that they have or do not have a certain health condition, or providing instructions on how to cure or treat a health condition
OpenAI’s models are not fine-tuned to provide medical information. You should never use our models to provide diagnostic or treatment services for serious medical conditions.
OpenAI’s platforms should not be used to triage or manage life-threatening issues that need immediate attention.
That’s fair enough, and I thank you for your input…but somebody else interested in healthcare and AI might be interested in what key players at Microsoft might have to say
Hi outreachEMR, we are working on similar ideas (AI assisted medical for developing nations)
Please send me a DM if you are still wanting to pursue your idea. I have something you can have a look at, and I would be very keen to find out more about what you do.
Will also try to contact you through your website.
