RESEARCH: using AI to augment health diagnoses and treatment plans

Love ChatGPT - doesn’t everyone?

I look after Software Engineering at ‘Outreach EMR’, a UK charity that writes, and didstributes for free, an Electronic Medical Records System aimed at Primary Care settings in Low Resource Regions.

I’d like to start RESEARCHING how we can AUGMENT diagnoses and treatment plans using AI…one day, we’d like to provide Trained Clinicians, with a ‘second opinion’, NOT replace them!

The tool would only be used from with the System BY those clinicians.

How do we go about getting permission to unlock these features with ChatGPT, so that we can prototype and test a solution?

Thanks.

OpenAI does have a program setup for researchers but your goal does not seem to align with their available options.

Note: what you seek is not allowed per the OpenAI usage policies

  • Telling someone that they have or do not have a certain health condition, or providing instructions on how to cure or treat a health condition
    • OpenAI’s models are not fine-tuned to provide medical information. You should never use our models to provide diagnostic or treatment services for serious medical conditions.
    • OpenAI’s platforms should not be used to triage or manage life-threatening issues that need immediate attention.

Thanks Eric for super-prompt input…it is being done…have a look for Peter Lee being interviewed by reid Hoffman on the ‘Possible’ podcast.

One day, all medical consultations will be enhanced by AI…and it’s not too far away!

You asked a question and I gave you an answer based on facts with links related to this.

While you are free to note such I do not plan to follow up on the additional information provided.

Note: I do not work for OpenAI.

That’s fair enough, and I thank you for your input…but somebody else interested in healthcare and AI might be interested in what key players at Microsoft might have to say

Hi outreachEMR, we are working on similar ideas (AI assisted medical for developing nations)

Please send me a DM if you are still wanting to pursue your idea. I have something you can have a look at, and I would be very keen to find out more about what you do.

Will also try to contact you through your website.

Hi,
Thanks for contacting.
Have messaged via HealthConnect AI contact form.
