Since Google’s Play Integrity API was updated recently to include stronger requirements for integrity checks, ChatGPT is now broken on all Android devices that have been end-of-life for more than 1 year.
The MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY verdict now requires the device to have a security update installed that has been released within the last year.

To fix the bug:
OpenAI should consider reducing the ChatGPT Android app’s integrity check requirement from MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY → MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY

Thanks for bringing light to this issue
The problem manifests as “Our systems have detected unusual activity from your system. Please try again later.” if you are logged in and attempt to use ChatGPT, thereby hiding the true issue at hand here. Only upon logging out you can see the real root cause of this issue…
Workaround for now: use ChatGPT in preferred browser app
I’m experiencing the same issue on several of my devices. Right now, I can’t log into ChatGPT on mobile, even though my device hasn’t been modified in any way from the original operating system.
This also applies to devices running LineageOS. I have the latest android version and latest android security patch there, but the vendor patch is old.
I can use the workaround to access ChatGPT over the browser app (which is a bit annoying) but now I dont have access to ChatGPT (advanced) voice, which is one reason for me to pay for ChatGPT Plus.
My fix was to clear storage, clear cache and reboot the phone. Then it let me log in and worked again.
I have a Xiaomi 14T Pro, which is a newer phone. I think there was something they (Google or Xiaomi) did because I was also force logged out of my Microsoft corporate logins (e.g. Teams and Outlook) this weekend.
