ChatGPT used to be able to access our previous conversations from different threads. For example, if I mentioned a certain food dish—I could reference that same dish later in a separate new thread—and ChatGPT would recall that specific engagement.
This was a relatively new feature—only a couple months old I believe, but it’s no longer working for me.
Just wondering if this is occurring for anyone else?
I should mention that I’m not referring to the memory details it automatically retains on you. I’m talking about details that weren’t specifically saved to memory but only discussed in other threads—ChatGPT was able to recall any info referenced from any previous and separate conversation.
Not exactly the same, but today I noticed my GPT memory /within/ the same conversation is not functioning normally. Literally in one conversation it can’t recall a huge chunk of conversation from Wednesday night (and that was as of this [Friday] morning). I tested multiple threads, and just keep getting responses saying it can’t recall between conversations (I am using Free version). I keep telling it that what I’m asking about is IN the same conversation. It’s like it’s memory has been wiped out, except the permanent manage-able memory is still there. All conversational memory is gone.
