OpenAI's ChatGPT design changes are infuriating

These design changes are making it hard to see my messages, plus I just hate texting-style layouts in non-texting things. Please give us a “legacy style” that allows us to not have to deal with this annoying style change.

Look at how Wikipedia handled theirs for God’s sake, if you don’t like their new one, just switch over to Vector Legacy and it’ll be back to how it was back in 2020. Even the Terraria Fandom wiki eventually provided a “Hydralize” option to revert it to the old Hydra interface.

This new style change is annoying and frustrating to deal with. My suggestion is to allow the user to change the style of their ChatGPT interface in the settings. If you don’t do it, the Chrome extensions probably will if they haven’t already.

Honestly, I’m not typically one to chime in on arguments about frustrating updates to ChatGPT, but here, I gotta agree.

Some Product lead was not thinking properly when they decided to make all chats look like text messages.

This new UI is especially weird on ultra-wide monitors.

I mean, just look at this:

Yep, my guess is whoever designed this was just fascinated with being up with the times, as if AI wasn’t already up with the times, and decided to try turning it into WhatsApp with an AI, as if WhatsApp didn’t already have its own obnoxious AI.

And I get a “last visit” banner as if this is WhatsApp and I have unread messages. GOD.

Unfortunately, it looks like the flag is removed. OpenAI has force all user use new UI.
The big round “fruity” interfaces are very distracting. But it become the “modern fashion” across many apps.

There’s someone else on here that uses a Tampermonkey script to go around this, and it still works to this day. Go check them out to rebel against this corpocrap decision.

Yeah I hate the “fruity” interfaces to hell and back. This is even in the cards for Discord. DISCORD. If that does not show that this is just a corpocrap decision, I don’t know what does.

It has become hard to actually scan when the replies begin within the chats now.

It hurts my eyes so much and makes it hard to think.

I signed up today out of frustration that there is nowhere to leave feedback within the actual interface so far as I can see.
