I’m still experiencing the same error after following all the steps others have tried as well.
I’m still experiencing the same error after following all the steps
I’ve had the same error for days, reported it as an error and got the generic text to clear browser cookies, vpn, check what status.openai.com is like, etc. It’s amazing that they clearly have the error, as I see it en masse, and they come up with this nonsense.
My GPTs are returning the error message “Oops, an error occurred!” .
I have rebooted. I have rolled back Chrome.
I have tried on OSX, Windows and various different devices.
I have cleared the cache.
I have reset the password.
It is clearly a login specific problem. I have reported to “help”. Generic responses. I posted on OpenAIs facebook page, automatically removed.
… why should I continue to pay the subscription fee?
It does not work and no-one at Open AI is responding.
I am losing faith in OpenAI.
Very sad.
I am having this issue as well its been happening since at least Friday
Same exact symptoms here. I also upgraded to plus a few days ago. Thinking of reporting this to my credit card company if not resolved soon, since OpenAI won’t answer my email and I am being charged for a service they are not providing.
I wish OpenAI would tell us what is going on…
The only reason anyone pays for ChatGPT is to use Custom GPTs (“My GPTS”)
Custom GPTs have not worked for 3 days.
SAME issue over here. Send help
Exactly same error here. It would be nice to have some updates.
Throwing my hat into the ring of those effected. All browsing data cleared. Happens across Mac and Windows. Happens across Google, Safari, Edge, Arc, Firefox
I am having the same issue. Any fix?
Same maddening issue for a few days now.
OpenAI is aware. As it’s a holiday in the US it’s taking a bit more time, but we’ve passed on the information in this thread, and they’re aware…
Hopefully, status.openai.com will be updated to reflect it.
Thanks for reporting and your patience!
Thanks Paul - top man. OpenAI is a global Co with a market cap of $157billion - a holiday is no excuse for 3 days offline.
Can you imagine if Amazon or eBay’s core Subscriber function went offline for this long?
Have tried all advice. Cleared cache, relogged, different operating systems on different devices, apps, desktop app, etc. I cannot access my GPTs or create new ones, and once I try to access it the “An error occured” messages stays on the screen even if I try to cycle to previous chatgpt pages; I have to close the tab and renavigate. I’m a plus subscriber, and this is kinda merde.
Meanwhile I am unable to use one of the primary functions I pay for.
It’s not working, yet apparently no reports today??? How do I report an issue?
I’ve just paid for this service and find it’s not working. Very annoying.
From the support team:
Hi there,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, James. We’re sorry to hear that you and others are experiencing issues with creating Custom GPTs. I understand how frustrating it can be when a service doesn’t work as expected.
I’ve checked with our technical team, and I can confirm that we are aware of the issue where users are encountering an “Oops, an error occurred. Try again” error message when attempting to create Custom GPTs. Our engineering team is currently investigating the cause and working on a resolution to ensure that the service is restored to full functionality as soon as possible.
While I don’t have an exact timeline for when this will be resolved, please rest assured that it is a priority for us, and we are doing everything we can to fix the issue quickly. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.
For the most current updates on this issue, please keep an eye on our status page and the community forum thread you mentioned. We will post updates as soon as we have more information to share.
Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of our community.
Best,
OpenAI Team
Thanks for sharing. I’m sure they’re on the case!
