I have tried to use o3 pro in three different conversations now, with completely different prompts, at different times throughout the day. I tried twice in the Mac desktop app and once via web. In all three cases, it appears to reason for a long time, and then reports “o3 pro stopped reasoning” with no output. I am not on a VPN. I am connected to the Internet via gigabit ethernet. I am not having the same trouble with standard o3.
Same here. Tried multiple prompts on the Mac app and haven’t been able to generate a succesful reply yet. The prompt runs for about 3-5 minutes before timing out. The reasoning detail boxes either remain empty or reach a chain of up to ~5 thoughts before erroring out.
As for the error, I either see “stopped reasoning” or “reasoning failed”, followed by “Error in message stream.”
Like dbb, I’ve never seen this issue with other models.

Hey, I managed to fix the issue by switching to the browser version of ChatGPT on my Macbook. I was originally using my Iphone with the ChatGPT App.
Hey mate. What browser do you use on your macbook? I mean, I got the same problem with o3-pro, and I am on windows laptop with google chrome browser, and still face the problem every other time.
Just using Google Chrome.
Ok guys, I found the ez way to fix it - you just need to re-upload your last chat - and you will get the result of the last reasoning. It looks like the model does not stop reasoning in real, just stops updating and providing the reasoning process.
