I have signup for developer waitlist a long time ago. Was submitted for the first time on August 8.
Should I do it again? If there is any status and where I can see it?

Have they added more since then? Not many, yours is a common story.
The number of plugins is approaching 1000, many being non-novel, and those existing take support staff to review and process updates, also with poor turnaround times.

Thanks for the answer. Local development would be enough for me, for myself. But waiting for months and not being able to receive any feedback is exhausting…
