I am getting some unexpected behavior in Chat GPT4o voice mode. I had it working a week or two ago. Now when I go to Settings->Audio Settings and choose my output - (which all of my other Audio apps can access - no issues). The Meter at the bottom of my chosen output in settings is grayed out.
The weird thing is that the App knows the correct audio out because it’s other sound effects such the “Bloop” when opening the app and other sounds are perfectly audible. I can speak to the app in Voice mode. I can see that it can hear me. The voice will even output in Audio In my chosen channel if I choose the option to read me the text if its last output. But it will not converse with me in real time.
I know the app is enabled and is allowed to use microphone in MacOS privacy settings.
This all worked fine a couple of weeks ago. The only thing I can think of that might have changed is that I recently did a regular MacOS update. I am using an M1 Mac Mini with Sonoma.
