I am trying to verify my domain to be able to make my GPT’s public, but the page doesn’t much instruction. It says to add a txt record with a value they provided, but Namecheap’s zone editor is also asking for a name for the record.
Is this just some identifier for my own use when reviewing zone records at a later date? Is it supposed to be my domain name? OpenAIs domain name?

You can simply add @ in the name field that is the root for your domain or you can add you domain “example,com” (almost the same thing as @)

Namecheap wouldn’t accept the @ but I was able to verify my domain after entering the domain name in that field. Thanks!
