My account has been deactivated

Colleagues, I’ve encountered a very unpleasant situation on platform.openai.com and need advice.

On 09.01, when trying to log into my account, this message appeared:

“Your OpenAI account has been deactivated. Check your email for more information. If you believe this is an error, please contact us through our support center at help.openai.com.”

Details:

  • There was still about $400 in the balance. The service became completely inaccessible, despite the active funds.

  • No warning emails about account issues were received.

  • The account was used exclusively for work purposes, and no rules were violated, to my knowledge.

What I’ve already done:

  • Immediately submitted a request to support via help.openai.com.

  • Appealed the deactivation decision.

The problem:
Several days have already passed, but there isn’t even a confirmation that my request has been taken up. Complete silence in response. I’m at a loss — the account is critical for my work, and the funds are frozen.

Has anyone encountered something similar?
Are there any alternative ways to contact support (besides the standard form) to break through this silence and speed up the review?

It happened 6 days ago? With a weekend in between. So 4 business days to check the logs I suppose. I would say this could take longer.

If the appeal won’t go through and your account stays blocked you should at least get refunded afaik. But it will take some time. Unfortunally this forum can’t really help with this account specific stuff. In the end how can we know what you did and what not.
