I’m a software developer based in Kazakhstan (a supported country) who has been using both the OpenAI API and a paid ChatGPT subscription for legitimate software development - integrating AI capabilities into my personal projects and services.
On March 30, 2026, my organization was deactivated without any prior warning. The notification did not specify what policy was allegedly violated.
I submitted an appeal, cooperated fully with the AI support agent, answered all their questions transparently. The appeal was denied within less than 24 hours with a generic response and a statement that no further appeals would be considered.
No specific violation was ever cited at any stage of the process.
I also have unused prepaid API credits and an active ChatGPT subscription on the account. A separate refund request has been escalated to a billing specialist.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation and successfully had their account reinstated? I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
