Is this a temporary bug or a way to get people on the Team Plan?) I hope the former. Currently it is not available.

Currently you cannot even select 3.5 anymore — so probably developer thing going on. I wait then

It’s a new issue and happens when the Chat history is turned off.
So you can turn the chat history on and use GPT-4 again.
We have to wait until that is fixed.

Same for me. But for me it looks like there changing the Pro Subscription due to Team Subscriptions?
Especially the part with how they and if they train on your data.

Maybe, but it would not make a lot of sense, $5 for “history off” — Not everyone needs teams. Why allow teams, but not single users … And the last part could be seen in general. But lets wait and see. No announcement yet, I think. Probably just a bug; and who doesn’t love the startup vibe on this

Why is this marked as a solution? This issue is affecting me too and remains unresolved for me.
Additionally, I seem to be getting pushed to sign up for ChatGPT Team when it’s not an appropriate subscription for me. Last but not least, the option to not have my data used for training seems only available in Team level subscription.
Is this a new change? Request you to please keep this thread unresolved until a solution is implemented.
The privacy policy and the help article have not been updated. It’s reasonable to assume a bug.
If this is important to you I suggest to contact the email addresses in the privacy policy to move this issue up in the list of urgent tickets.

Same issue on two accounts. Currently not worth having a Plus license. Hope this gets resolved very soon.

Earlier when chat history was off I was able to use GPT 4 now it only shows 3.5 as option. Has openAI disabled GPT 4 when chat history is off ? If yes then might have to cancel my subscription as without it its no use for me. Hope they correct it.
They created the problem. And gave you the solution. Same update.
The same strategy you’ll see at the bottom of chat shares that previously could be continued chatting with.
Oh, thanks for pointing it out sadly canceled my subscription. As team plan requires minimum 2 people
@OpenAI : This is unacceptable, because I would rather that you not use my data to train on. This update effectively removes that option for me, if using GPT-4.
Please revert back to allowing us to use GPT-4 with data controls.
Well, we did have the option to opt-out by deactivating the chat history. But this feature appears bugged at the moment.

Confirmed working. Turned off the training. A big browser reload and back to a GPT-4 screen.
Then turned training back on so I can press thumbs up and train with my custom instructions of a well-behaved bot
