The majority of my time using Chat-GPT, I’ll say I never experienced memory problems. This has never happened before.
I have noticed a similar bug around January 30th, but I’m not sure this is the same issue.
I asked GPT to remember a description and it indicated it did, and even had that little icon that says so. When pressing manage, the memory just isn’t there.
I’ve isolated the issue to memories that are either too long or complex. But as a reminder, this has never happened before. I have requested GPT to remember memories way longer and it showed no problem doing so.
Is this a common issue? Is this able to be fixed soon?
The memory request is received by another AI, which can decide to reject something that doesn’t follow a typical pattern of “things about the user”. Then it has to decide to store a new memory, or has the ability to replace or delete them by the message that ChatGPT sends to it.
That means your multi-paragraph might have just gotten a judgemental “nope” you never hear about.
You also may need to refresh the browser to actually see the current state of memories or custom instructions. The settings often don’t seem to populate the user dialogs when you expect them. Turn the memory feature on and do a refresh just for good measure that the setting is “taken”.
Well, it seems that by trying to demonstrate this, with a bit of overly-direct instruction, I just turned down the IQ of ChatGPT…
It’s a bug or technical issue and support team of open ai already informed me yesterday and today
They also mentioned that they forwarded the issue to product team for further review and they will give updates about the issue to confirm the bug or not and they will also said they will fix it soon but try all trouble shooting steps like all of us did earlier and send your complaint to open ai team through help center or email and it will escalate our issue faster and they will take it seriously
Why isn’t Canvas working? ChatGPT keeps telling me Canvas is down or it can’t access my Canvas. It can’t remember anything after I opened a new chat. It tells me Canvas is under maintenance for hours now. Is it really under maintenance or is this an error? No announcement has been made as far as I can tell.
I just fired up some canvas with the “canvas” button (under the dots next to all the other buttons taking up word space), even testing a free account for you. We see a predicted document created by a role-play persona directed to the collaboration space.
