Memory Bug - Memory seems full of recursive loop, see image

my memory is full because chatgpt now recursively remembers two facts back and forth forever, or will literally just remember EVERY single thing I tell it… it’s odd.

Did this happen on Advanced Voice?

I think you and GPT need to have a talk fr. You need tabula rasa discussion. :skull:

What a predicament! The system will never remember that the slate should be cleared because it can’t remember that it shouldn’t remember

Yeah, I just have memory turned off for chatgpt. It just isn’t a very good implementation.

You can get pretty good at concisely expressing context with practice, at least that’s my cope here.

I’m using it in a way that… I maxx out the memories, and GPT knows when to update them based on the instructions it gets from “Customise ChatGPT”, or when I ask it to. I try to use the memories like global variables and switches.

Edit: I forgot to mention that when I use Advanced Voice, things do get a bit weird. It’s a different experience, and GPT seems to prioritise different info to store in memory, and it stores a lot of the same stuff, just like @raz31337 mentioned.

There’s certainly a skill to using these things effectively.

But this definitely does indeed look like a bug. I’m sorry @raz31337 I didn’t want to discount your plight :grimacing:

Let’s hope the openaites get on it asap!
