DALL·E Not Generating Images – GPT Store & Sidebar Both Broken – 6 Days No Access

Hi all,

I’ve been on the ChatGPT Plus plan for months and regularly use DALL·E for high-quality illustration. Since Thursday (June 13), I’ve completely lost access to image generation.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • DALL·E in the sidebar no longer generates images
  • The DALL·E GPT in the GPT Store says “Generating now — please hold :artist_palette:” but does nothing
  • No images ever appear
  • I also receive “user quota exceeded” errors on mobile when attempting uploads
  • I’ve tried all standard troubleshooting (different devices, browsers, networks, incognito)

I’ve contacted OpenAI Support, and they’ve acknowledged the DALL·E GPT bug — but no timeline for a fix yet.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
And is there any way to regain access to the older, higher-quality image model that was previously available via GPT-4?

Also having the same problem. Been looking around online and several others seem to also be having the issue. Not ideal seeing how we are paying to use that feature and don’t have any sort of ETA on a fix. :frowning:

Thanks for confirming — totally agree. No ETA, and the quality in GPT-4o isn’t even usable. Hope they escalate this soon.

A week without image generation on 4o here… I thought it was hallucinating that it couldn’t process images

You too! Just received a response, still no definitive timeline and still can’t generate images or upload.
