Serious iterative creative project blocked by account-level moderation poisoning — no remedy path for Plus users

I’m a long-term ChatGPT Plus user building complex, iterative creative projects with original characters and world-building (including Clockwork Rebellion, global travel series with Ian & Aja, and other advanced narrative work).

In late May 2025, my account became poisoned at the image generation level after submitting a fully appropriate educational scene (professors and students meeting in Germany — no inappropriate or policy-violating content).

Since that point:

  • All image generation now silently fails, even after:
    • Device and browser changes
    • New threads
    • Waiting multiple days
    • Using verified “safe starter” prompts
  • The block is clearly account-contextual, not thread-based.
  • There is no exposed remedy path for Plus users.
    • Support responses are generic and AI-generated.
    • No escalation or manual review is offered.
    • No guidance on resolution is provided.

This makes the platform unusable for serious iterative work — which is exactly the use case Plus is marketed to support.

I am requesting:

  1. A clear manual moderation review/reset pathway for Plus users.
  2. Transparent moderation feedback when blocks occur.
  3. A commitment that non-violating iterative creative work will not be permanently blocked without remedy.

If Clockwork Rebellion were a commercial project, I would currently be dead in the water, with no path forward.

Are other serious creators encountering this?
OpenAI: this requires immediate attention. The current system is not fit for serious iterative creative or professional use as it stands.

Call to Fellow Creators:

If you are a serious creative user (Plus or otherwise) and have encountered similar account-level image generation blocks or false-positive moderation poisoning — especially with no way to request manual review or reset — please add your voice here.

This is an issue that affects advanced creative projects, iterative workflows, and commercial use cases — and it urgently needs more visibility and a clear remedy path from OpenAI.

The more of us who surface this, the more likely it will get priority attention. Thank you!
