I just submitted my first app to the ChatGPT App Store, how long should I expect for the review process to take? I’m excited, been waiting a day already.

Is it live already? Curious to know if ChatGPT accepted apps atm
@Jorrit_van_Ginkel I submitted it 11 days ago, and the status is still “Review.” I did receive an email stating that something needs to be changed in the email and that I would be informed shortly about the next steps, but so far there has been no further progress.
same for us, still waiting on our end
I don’t think anyone here has been accepted yet… but if that’s not correct, please speak up! Would love to see some progress / movement.

Since there have been lots of questions about this, just a note that got emails from OAI from two submitted apps (on opening day in December) confirming receipt and saying it was “currently being evaluated”.
No more details and no timeline but nice to have something from them at least.

Same email here, we just submitted 1 app on opening day and another 2 weeks after. They sent an email for the one on opening day but not for the one that was submitted 2 weeks after. FYI

Similarly to everyone else, we submitted our application on December 19 and got a confirmation email but haven’t heard any feedback yet.
At this point, wouldn’t be shocked in Anthropic launches their apps (MCP apps) before we see any of these approved for ChatGPT.

Pursuing MCP Apps is a natural action. I drew analogy to a friend how if launch of ChatGPT Apps was the ‘Apple App store’ moment, now MCP Apps is the ‘Android App store’ moment. 
Does Anthropic accept apps yet?

Interestingly the MCP blog post announcing MCP apps states that it’s being adopted by ChatGPT “starting this week”. (Blog was posted 26 Jan 2026).

Hi everyone, we submitted our app about 2 weeks ago and it still appears to be in review. If anyone has had their app approved, could you share how long it took?
Submitted ours on 7th Feb so coming up to 1 month. Painful.
