My understanding is that this has been a ramping process and times should improve.

Hi everyone, I submitted my app to OpenAI on March 1st and I still haven’t received any response. From what I’ve read in the messages in this thread, it seems the process might take quite a while.
I’d like to know from those of you who were also waiting: has anyone received a response yet? Did you get approved? Was anyone rejected for a specific reason? Or is your process still pending without any updates?
Submitted December 2025. Got an email acknowledging receipt in January 2026. Got a rejection March 2nd, 2026. So almost three months from submission to a response.
It sounds like you’ve only been waiting three days - even if things go a lot faster, you probably need to expect to be waiting for awhile longer.

Still waiting yes. It’s interesting, I can tell from my telemetry on the test user I setup for them, the person that looks at the app does so like many days before I get an email on success/rejection. I wonder what that’s about.
Anyway, yes, still waiting.
I’m going to see if there’s any clarification on this that we can add to the documentation. (I don’t actually know the answer to this, I’m just a moderator)
Yup. Same with me. Been ~30 days since submitting the app. Telemetry suggests they’ve tested the app soon after submission. No response/feedback yet. Appreciate any additional info from the OpenAI team on the timeline.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share an update regarding our situation: our first submission was rejected after 5 weeks. We made all the requested fixes mentioned in the email and submitted a new version. It’s now been about 3 weeks since that resubmission, and we still haven’t received any result.
I think the most frustrating part is, based on what we see in our database, the app used and tested within 1–2 days after submission. However, during the following 5–6 weeks, there doesn’t seem to be any further testing activity. I’m having difficulty to understand why it takes 5–6 weeks just to send the review result.
Very similar experience here - seems common to see the actual review take place quickly and then it sit for weeks before the decision. I’ve seen many others report that and it’s my experience. I don’t think we’ve had an explanation for that though, at least not one I’ve seen.
Has anyone seen any progress or updates regarding their app approvals? I’m in the same situation and would appreciate hearing about any recent developments, as the last discussion on this thread took place over 30 days ago.
My last submission, for an update to an existing app, took I think 8 days.
I’ve been waiting “In Review” for more than three months now 
Could take months, I have heard some people that have submitted it a few months ago and still haven’t got approved
Any instances where you haven’t heard back for months is likely a bug, please DM me and we’ll work to get your submission out of purgatory.
