Same, I’ve found on Edge if you spam Enter you can get it to send. But it’s still clunky.
Same error here
Same here, I am getting this error too on Edge.
It’s already 6 hours off, but no announcements.

Same problem here. I tried multiple browsers. This is very frustrating.
same problem with me ,
works fine in Iphone but on mac/windows desktop it does not works
Experience same issue starting a few hours ago until now. Happening on both Chrome and Edge Dev version, but works fine on my Android app.
Same issue. My input freezes when I click submit.
I’ve already taken recommended steps to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) including incognito/private browsing modes.
-
Tried different devices and different networks.
-
Cleared cache and cookies.
-
Disabled all browser extensions.
-
Ensured all browsers are updated to their latest versions.
-
Switched between different networks to rule out network-related issues.
-
Verified that my device has sufficient resources (memory, CPU) available.
-
Flushed my DNS cache.
MacOs app works fine, but in web browsers, after clicking submit, the button greyed out and nothing happens:
I have the same issue since last night, this is the second time, it is annoying you dont even get apology from OpenAI
Same, cleared cache, cookies, different browsers etc etc. Stays grey no reply. No issues on Open AI status page which makes it even more annoying that the issue hasn’t even been acknowledged. Edge/Chrome not working paid account.
Yep, they broke it big time! There’s a technical discussion regarding this and a work around started in the API Category.
Updating Windows with KB5039212 worked for me as well.
Weird indeed.
Win 11 Pro 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3737)
Update: just worked for a few prompts and now with the same issues again
Same here and it was driving me crazy since morning thinking I am the only facing this issue as nothing shows up on the OpenAI Status page. .Finally it’s good to know that I am not alone.
.Hope they get this solved soon.
Down in the UK too - done all the normal cache refresh, reboot, different network etc. - the Android version works great but the Web Version on Windows a total zero. You begin to realise just how much you rely on this thing, it’s so bad I even started to use Gemini … I know, I know, don’t just me !
ok, still no solution there, so I canceled my subscription
I’m still having the same problem with the Premium version. I suspect they might be releasing the new voice features soon. Fortunately, I created a new free account and it works perfectly! Thanks for the tip, admin172.
Setting up a second free account works well, but there are limits on queries WHICH IS WHY WE PAY… Sort it out!!!
Looks like it is working now.
I am also experiencing this issue on macos desktop - both the app and the companion chat / chat-bar won’t let me submit messages. The issue seems to happen whenever I hit the o1 quota. I can’t use the desktop app at all and even when I click into older chats that were using a different model I just keep being told I’ve hit my quota over and over and over again. The web version is working fine.
I’ve also seen quite a few bug posts (at least 3) about people not being able to press enter going back to 2023.
Working on MacOS app and website version logged into account on both today and get the same result.
