I can't use OpenAI (error 429 for no reason)

I keep getting “You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details”. Is the API experiencing problems right now? This is not the first time I get this error but it usually goes away on its own after the server fixes itself up. This time, I don’t seem to be able to get rid of this message. I haven’t exceeded my quota at all, by the way, and I don’t have any unpaid invoice.

Is this happening for anybody else?

PS the status page says “All systems operational” but I highly doubt so. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed an API problem?

Marking as a solution because I didn’t get any email about “pay on the go” deprecation, plus my card is being declined although there’s plenty of money in it and it works fine everywhere else, I might update this post once openai support figures this out.
