It would be very helpful if users could select multiple chats and delete them at once.
Currently chats must be deleted one by one, which is inefficient for users who have many conversations.

Hey @Zhi_Wei_Liu, totally get this. If you’ve got a lot of chats saved, deleting them one by one can get pretty tedious.
Right now ChatGPT doesn’t support selecting multiple chats to delete together, so they still have to be removed individually from the sidebar.
One thing that might help depending on what you're trying to do is clearing everything at once. You can do that from Settings → Data Controls → Delete all chats. It wipes the whole history though, so it’s not the same as selectively deleting a group of chats.
Your idea of being able to select multiple chats and delete them together definitely makes sense. I’ll make sure this gets captured as product feedback.

I have a huge list of chats I would remove if this feature existed. Everyone I’ve talked to about this feels the same way.
People have hundreds of chats which they will never use again just because there is no convenient way to delete chats. People won’t spend time doing that kind of mindless grunt work, deleting chats one by one….
