Feature Request: Bulk Delete for Chats

It would be very helpful to have the ability to select and delete multiple chats at once (multi-select or checkbox system).

Currently, chats can only be deleted individually, which becomes time-consuming when managing many conversations.

A bulk delete option would greatly improve usability and chat organization.

Support from my side: better chat management would definitely help usability.

One important note: @OpenAI_Support, but yet in the #OpenAIHelpCenter now says there are already “archive all chats” and “delete all chats” options in Settings → Data controls. It also confirms that individual chats can be archived/deleted from the sidebar, and deleted chats are scheduled for permanent deletion within 30 days.

So from my perspective, the remaining UX gap is not “delete everything,” but a true multi-select / checkbox workflow for deleting or archiving some chats in bulk. That would be much more practical for large histories than only one-by-one actions or all-at-once cleanup.

Thanks for your input, I completely agree with your point.

That’s exactly what I meant — not deleting or archiving all chats at once, but having the ability to select multiple specific chats and manage them in bulk.

From my perspective, “delete all” or “archive all” isn’t really a practical solution either, especially if you only want to clean up parts of your history. A proper multi-select (e.g. with checkboxes) would make this much more flexible and user-friendly.

Glad to see I’m not the only one thinking this
