First, I want to express my gratitude for the recent addition of the chat search feature—it’s been a massive improvement and a great help in navigating extensive conversations. Building on this, I’d like to suggest another feature that could significantly enhance the user experience: the ability to delete multiple chats simultaneously. Much like how file management systems on PCs and mobile devices allow users to select multiple items and perform actions in bulk, this functionality would make it far easier to manage the growing list of conversations.
While some extensive chats hold long-term value and are worth keeping, many of us frequently use ChatGPT for quick, one-off questions or short searches that don’t need to be saved. These accumulate rapidly, especially for users who turn to ChatGPT as a primary search tool instead of traditional search engines. Currently, deleting chats one by one can be tedious and time-consuming. Introducing a multi-select option for deletion would streamline this process, improve organizational efficiency, and make it much easier for users to curate their chat history in a way that works best for them. I believe this addition would further enhance the platform’s already excellent functionality and usability.
