Feature Request: Browse Chat History by Date

I would like to request a way to browse ChatGPT conversations by date.

Currently, searching chat history is useful when I remember a keyword or topic from a past conversation. But there are many times when I don’t remember what I talked about that day at all. I may simply remember:

> “I had a conversation with ChatGPT on August 1, and I want to see what we talked about that day.”

In that situation, keyword search doesn’t really help.

It would be very useful to have a **date-based view of chat history**, similar to browsing a diary or calendar. For example:

**August 1, 2026**

* Conversation A

* Conversation B

* Conversation C

**August 2, 2026**

* Conversation D

* Conversation E

Clicking a date could show all conversations started or active on that date, allowing users to browse them chronologically.

An even better version could allow users to select a date range, such as:

* August 1–7

* Last week

* A specific month

This would be especially valuable for users who use ChatGPT as a long-term thinking space, journal, personal assistant, or companion. Sometimes the value of an old conversation isn’t that I remember its topic — it’s precisely that I **don’t remember what I was thinking or talking about**, and I want to rediscover it.

I think date-based browsing would complement keyword search rather than replace it.
