I’m a daily ChatGPT power user and business owner running multiple active work streams with ChatGPT. First off, I appreciate the responsiveness of the platform and its growing utility in professional settings — it’s become central to my workflow.
That said, one area where I think there’s a big opportunity for improvement is in managing multiple conversations and deliverables at once. Right now, every session lives in its own thread, and while that’s fine for casual use, it becomes a blind spot at scale when you’re juggling multiple in-progress tasks across various projects.
I’d like to propose a dedicated sidebar or landing page that functions as an “Active Session Dashboard”, allowing users to view all ongoing conversations at a glance, complete with real-time status indicators.
Key features for this dashboard:
Session List: Auto-generated or user-named titles for each active session.
Status Indicator Lights:
Red = AI in progress (awaiting delivery).
Yellow = Waiting for user feedback or input.
Green = Session complete or awaiting next steps from user.
Expected delivery timestamps shown per session, preferably in user’s local time zone (critical for business pacing).
Ability to prioritize or pin sessions at the top for high-priority workflows.
Optional hover or detail view: Quick summary of next steps, recent activity, or linked documents (future enhancement).
Why this matters:
For users like me, ChatGPT is evolving into an actual operational co-pilot. But without visibility across threads, we lose situational awareness, especially with overlapping projects. Having this dashboard would:
- Increase trust in the system for time-sensitive projects.
- Prevent tasks from falling through the cracks.
- Shorten turnaround cycles by making it obvious when input is needed from either side.
- And frankly, make ChatGPT feel less like a loose set of conversations and more like a proper productivity environment.
I believe this would be especially valuable for:
- Enterprise and Teams users managing client deliverables.
- Startup founders and operational teams using ChatGPT daily.
- Power users running parallel creative, business, or technical projects.
I’m happy to expand further or help beta test if this gets considered for roadmap development. This feels like a natural evolution of the product for professionals at scale.
