Feature Request: Ability to Invoke Custom GPTs Using @ in Projects

Hello OpenAI team,

I would like to propose a feature that would significantly enhance the usability of Custom GPTs. Currently, we can invoke our Custom GPTs by typing @ in a new chat. It would be incredibly helpful to extend this functionality, allowing us to call and use these Custom GPTs within our own projects or applications by using the @ symbol in a similar way.

This would streamline workflows, making it easier to incorporate specific GPT models into interactive projects, tools, or coding environments without needing to manually set up API calls each time.

I believe this would enhance flexibility and make Custom GPTs even more accessible for developers and creators, if feels severely underutilized.

Thank you for considering this feature, and I look forward to any updates!

Best,
Jonathan Sandoval

Different issue but also a great QoL change.
I have a lot of items on the sidebar, and it would be nice to have more customization in how my sidebar is setup.

This was one of the most powerful features for advanced users.

My workflow often starts as general brainstorming and then transitions to specialized tasks like coding, SEO, copywriting, or reviewing documents. Being able to switch to a Custom GPT without losing conversation context made ChatGPT feel like a team of specialists instead of isolated chats.

Removing this feature forces users to duplicate context manually, creates unnecessary friction, and significantly reduces productivity.

Even if this feature isn’t enabled by default, please consider bringing it back as an optional setting for power users.
