Error saving draft when building a new GPT

I just tried that too. It works but i’m having a harder time getting it to differentiate information now. I had 5 different regulatory manuals uploaded from one regulatory body. I combined them and uploaded but now it is having difficulty differentiating the standards between the 5 handbooks. Or more specifically, where one handbook starts and another ends.

Tried to click undo and seems the “Unpublished save” error is gone, but when I test it on chat I keep getting network issue error message and no answer is being generated. Now it seems my GPT just cannot generate any answer but it’s keep asking me if the current one is better than the previous answer :joy:

I have been working to train and get these better referenced in a combined file. I think part of it is the system starting to run more efficiently overall but in the training window I told it to review the document again and explained some of the issues. It was able to determine the various handbooks in the combined file and I reiterated how each of them should be used and/or applied.

I was still having issues up to 1pm today then moved on to other projects. Will see if it persists tonight

If you correct GPT when it gives you misinformation about your uploaded data, will that correction stand next time you search?
I asked it a question about files I uploaded-a- a specific date. When it didn’t know, I gave it the date.
Will it retain that info or do I have to create a new file with the date I need it to have for this prompt?

I’m having the same issue here… and there’s just no easy way for me to see if the GPT is actually updated.

It’s immensely frustrating that a multi-billion dollar company can’t get a save functionality working properly. At least communicate well whatever is happening. That’s the worst crime here. Most ChatGPT errors are opaque and users are left trying to understand what they did wrong.

My GPT builder shows I have 20 documents (most of them are repeated), and every time I delete 1 document, it shows more documents :joy:. Now my GPT builder is stuck, can’t save any thing.

I upgraded ChatGPT specifically to be able to upload and search my own documents and now its not working at all. The 10 files cap is extremely low and even under 10 files it does not work and I get “There was an error generating a response”. What a waste of money, will cancel my subscription immediatly

I get this error randomly even I am not uploading any documents. Usually, it is fixed when you delete your actions and recreate.

I get this too. I only have 1 small file uploaded. Other GPTs work so it doesnt make sense. ChatGPT is full of issues.

Zip all your documents, upload them to code interpreter, promt you need to combine to 10 files, combine the files that have similar topics in the name (I don’t know if that matters but it won’t hurt) and ask for the 10 files as a zip download. Worked fine for me.

Only problem I am having is with files that have a huge amount of text, the retrieval starts and then just ends without giving me an response. I think the retrieval of large files is too slow and openai has set and answer timeout

Sound more like all of us trying to update at once, not really a DDOS attack lol.

By the way, DO NOT REFRESH YOUR PAGE if ou were not able to update, otherwise you will loose everything you trained it on after the last successful update, learned it the hard way.

Spent the whole day training it through prompts and file, only to realize nothing was retained since it didn’t update and I refreshed the page…SAD

I am noticing that most of my training done via prompts is not sticking (either from the training window or correcting in a published chat instance). Most of the time I get a response saying it could not find the information in the training documents which it’s not, it was information I manually prompted setting it up.

Same issue; I’ve been seeing this error for 2 days now.

Well, it’s good to know that everyone has the same issues since last week. I am just going to collect the data I’d like to feed a future working version of GPT builder by using GPT4 to organize them.

Does anyone have any opinion on if having an XLSX worksheet with multiple sheets of data would be a good way to feed the GPT? I read another user used a single sheet further up in the thread but this seems like a good way to separate slightly different bits of data without using separate files, especially when the character count is not that high. I’ll try in advance and reply here if it works.

Same here just getting “Error saving draft”.
The frustrating thing is that it provides no further detail, if it were a service intermittence I get it, there’s a lot of demand, but it’s nerve-wrecking that I have no idea if I am doing something wrong on my end.

If you are in Europe, maybe you can try changing your location to other countries, like Turkiye, (using a VPN) then try again.

Still having the same issues that it won’t update when I provide it with a condition. It will now say GPT behavior updated but then wont confirm the update. The condition isn’t complex either it’s just a prompt to reference a template that was uploaded when a user makes a specific request.

Indeed. Failing silently is the cardinal sin. Software should never fail silently.

The same thing happens to me. I had a GPT that I couldn’t update because of this error, so I started another one from scratch. After a couple of hours, the same error appeared on the new one.
