I worked it out to 10 files when creating reference images, it’ll always work upto ten but if I add more I get the error. I can delete any of the more than ten and when the number goes back to ten it’s OK again.
It appears that the maximum limit is 10 files. Was adding this information too complicated?
It does seem that GPTS has a limit on the number of files that can be uploaded, regardless of the file format, image or pdf file.
GPTS says he has a limit of 10 on the number of files per upload, but that is not the case. You can only save your GPT when the files in Configure go back to no more than 10, otherwise you will continue to get error alerts. According to GPT’s explanation, he’ll forget what’s in the files if you delete them, which is annoying.
hello first post
i have the same issues.
If i click on update, to all of the 3 options, it keeps stating unpublished updates. i only use 1 file, so that cant be the issue either. if i open the gpt in a new screen i can see it did not save/update the instructions because there are plain errors visible that were not there in the training mode. is there anything else i can do to get these things saved? it takes an awful lot of time to train these gpts, especially when you cannot save it… but to openAi’s monitoring everything is fine:
it’s funny actually that it states published and unpublished in the same screen
if anyone has ideas to help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
Same issues. Not at the 10 file limit yet and any uploading of files fails.
I’ve been hitting this same error for a few days now. Right now GPT is telling me that once the data is ingested into the knowledge base that I can remove the files. However, after testing it, thats obviously not the case. It will only refer to the one file that I have left uploaded.
When questioned on it, it insists that once ingested the files can be removed.
after 10 uploads you can´t upload more documents
Are there any release notes or road map for this feature? It’s frustrating not knowing the threshold for file uploads or if it’s ingesting those files, and more can be added after. There is so much potential here, but it’s limited so far. I am trying to build an internal knowledge base for a project I’m working on and want to include all of the project files, but it’s more than the 10-file upload limit.
I’m still constantly getting this message again “Error saving draft”.
Is anyone else?
Hey, curious if you’re still getting the error message? I’ve been getting it for the past few hours, but wondering if it’s just something I’m doing wrong.
FYI if you delete the documents after ingesting, the information does not stay like others alluded to.
I’m getting it intermittently now. In most cases it will ingest and start writing the message saying it was ingested and then get an error. I publish even with the error, go back and verify it worked by asking a specific question or asking what documents are currently being referenced in the dataset.
It’s a glitch. Lots of people are getting it. But there is
a work around that can work for it. Says unfinished changes if you click save and it gives you that error click, try clicking on the undo changes arrow…It’s like right near that same area over the top right hand corner. I’ve found that when I do this. It actually does save.
Does not work for me - as soon as “Error saving draft” appears I do not have access to the “undo” command. Do you (or others) have other suggestion, this is frustrating I had no problem upload 10 PDFs and now no ability to add knowledge to my GPT.
Same, I don’t have access to the “undo” command either. I was having no problem earlier in the day, but for the last few hours, can’t upload any files! Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.
If there is a hard stop with loading more than 10 PDFs, I am now considering combining the 24 files I wanted to upload into 10 files and try that approach. Each of the 10 composite files would now approach 30 k in size. Thoughts?
Sounds like it might work. Give it a go! I can’t even upload one file right now, so 10 feels like a dream
Try leaving and coming back in, that’s what I had to do. As for files, 10 was the most I could add without getting useless errors. So I combined text files and pdfs and that worked.
