Can you share more on the specific circumstances when it happened (which model, which type of document did you want it to produce, what specific error message did you see)?
Also, have you tried a few times, refreshed browser, cleared the cache etc.?
I have same problem , I asked Chatgpt to make a MS word Document to me when I try to download the file it shows a message that file not found !!
I have the same error too! There’s now way that we are going to find a solution to this problem
What is the solution?? It has been more than a year with this bug and no fixes, nor official acknowledgements from ChatGPT.

I have the same problems most of the time

The problem that download links in ChatGPT 5.1 are no longer clickable and are only displayed as text (e.g., sandbox:/mnt/data/file.png) appears to be due to a technical limitation of the new interface. In GPT-4o, the links continue to work as usual for me. The best solution at present is to switch to GPT-4o for file downloads, as there are no restrictions there.
