Domain Verification Issue in GPT Builder Profile

Hello,

I’m encountering a persistent problem with my GPT Builder Profile. Despite successfully verifying my website’s TXT record, the system continues to say that the domain is not verified and prompts me to re-verify. This creates a frustrating loop.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

  • Verification: I’ve verified the TXT record, and the system acknowledges the verification.
  • Refreshing: I’ve refreshed the Builder Profile page, but the problem persists.

Could you please help me resolve this issue? Are there any known workarounds or additional troubleshooting steps I can take?

Sorry, it looks like it’s generally borked at the moment :confused:

That said, it feels like it’s always been a little finicky to get to work. Sometimes doing a hard refresh works, sometimes waiting works, sometimes everything works instantly… …like anything OpenAI, it needs a lot of patience and tolerance.

While not a solution to the domain name verification issue, they are rolling out social profile verifications.

Let us delete our domain that was entered on the OpenAI side and enter it without www,
for example www.something.somethingelse. >>> something.somethingelse.

Then go back to the DNS settings that we made. In the TXT record, enter @ followed by the key that we got when entering the domain and you’re done.

You will also need to wait approximately 48 hours to complete the domain propagation process.
