Architectural building codes are so long and difficult to navigate. I want to create an API that is trained on architectural building code and other manuals to be a reference to designers that can quickly pull up things like say: a wall thickness required for a soundproof recording studio, a ramp incline, or requirements for certain wall-types. I also want the API to be able to cross-reference codes, point out contradictory regulations, and suggest policies that better serve both designers and the general public. I guess I want to know whether we’re at a point where this is possible for me to build, and whether there are copyright issues that could create problems.
