3 times now, on 2 different devices, my deep research has not been starting. Its happened on windows chatgpt web, mac chatgpt web, and mac chatgpt desktop. i have sent a deep research with pro selected since im on the $200 pro plan, text only prompt, and send it. i come back to it later and it ran as a regular “pro” thinking response. its very annoying because i rely on this to work and wait a long time for it. This is really the main reason i have the $200 instead of $100 plan beacuse of the better deep research so its just frustrating when its been giving me issues. Its not just today its happened multiple times this week in different places.
Hey @Nebulazer, that does sound frustrating, especially since the request is falling back to a regular Pro thinking response instead of starting Deep Research.
Since this has happened more than once and across different devices, it would be best to reach out to support@openai.com with a screen recording, HAR file, approximate timestamps, and the devices/browsers where it happened.
If you already have a support case open, feel free to share the case ID here and I can take a look.
