Copy and Paste Issue in ChatGPT Desktopon macOS

It was perfectly working until yesterday as Sep 13th. Suddently, Copy at ChatGPT and Text to anywhere functionality do not work from this morning. I tried on different browser, Safari to Chrome but do not work either. I also restart and delete cache, history as ChatGPT told me so, but still not work. Anyone solve this issue? Please help.

I have same problem on safari browser.

Same here. Starting this morning, using Safari requires a right-click to copy, which works fine. However, pressing Command+C triggers an annoying error sound and doesnā€™t copy the text from previously sent prompts (although it works if youā€™re copying text youā€™re actively typing in a new prompt). On Chrome, Command+C works properly without issues.

Iā€™m having the same issue, ive tried updating my OS, but the issue continues. This significantly slows down my workflow.

Sometime in the past day Iā€™ve had the same issue, with Safari for macOS. Command + C doesnā€™t work anymore, very frustrating.

Everything seems fine when I press command-c, the safari ā€˜Editā€™ blinks (responding fine), but actually it has not been copied, because when I press command-v, nothing/the last elsewhere copy gets pasted.

I have the same problem on my Mac. Iā€™ve tried to update my Mac and I have deleted my history but it still just says an annoying sound when pressing ā€œcmd c.ā€

Same problem since sept 13, I had to manually select and copy with right click.

same here. I think this is an intended action by OpenAI.

I thought I was the only one experiencing something so annoying like this. Every time I want to copy, I have to right-click to do it in Safari. In Chrome, thereā€™s no problem; cmd+c works fine in Chrome

Should this be left unresolved?

the offending keypress listener seems to be this one: function h(f){f.code!==ā€œSpaceā€&&!dT(document.activeElement)&&o.focus()}

if you go into dev tools and inspect element then go into node and event listeners you can find it as the last keypress event listeners. it targets window. disable that one and you can cmd-c again.

Yes, I noticed that and thought it was because I needed to sign up for the monthly service so I did and it still continues to happen. I also lost the paper clip for uploading files to the chat window at the same time.

Same issue; which wasnā€™t there less than a week ago. Itā€™s definitely annoying. The only work around is to use the Mac App by OpenAI.

Same issue. I literally use ChatGPT everyday. It was working just fine less than 12 hours ago then it randomly started giving me that annoying error sound when I try to command + C. It seems so trivial but having to double click and copy is very annoying and severely slowing down my process. I closed Safari, restarted my MacBook, I recently updated so Iā€™m on the latest OS. UGH!

same as @seribuvisual said, ā€œEvery time I want to copy, I have to right-click to do it in Safari. In Chrome, thereā€™s no problem; cmd+c works fine in Chromeā€ exactly the same, its annoying.

I have the same issue (with OS Monterey 12.7.6 + Safari + Paid Chat GPT) : CMD +C doesnā€™t copy at all. CMD + SHIFT + C does copy the entry last response, but when I press CMD + C I get that annoying sound and nothing gets copied. The workaround is using the right click and selecting copy.

Itā€™s incredibly frustrating and annoying. Fix this ASAP please.

Same here. WTF is going on?? If this is intentional, itā€™s an attack on content creation cause this will slow everything down and sort out a lot of peopleā€¦
My conspiracy mind is spinning right now
