I customized a GPT for writing assistance. When I asked it to help me generate an outline and supplement the novel framework I provided, I received a warning for potential rule violations, and the content generated by the writing assistant was marked in light red. In fact, I was just trying to tell some ordinary stories, including a plot about a student finding out the cause of their teacher’s death and avenging them. It didn’t involve any violence or other content harmful to mental health. This made me feel anxious. First of all, I value my account very much and I don’t know if receiving such a warning means there is a risk of being banned. I wonder if I should just stop doing anything for now; secondly, novel creation needs dramatic content and dense conflicts. If an outline of a novel that only partially involves revenge can be considered potentially rule-violating, won’t this affect the GPT’s full capabilities?
yeah… I don’t know if chatgpt is the right tool for that at the moment.
It’s quite possible that chatgpt uses the same moderation endpoint that openai makes available in the api
and this thing is incredibly dumb.
I asked ChatGPT to write a joke about an apple, about a guy named Jake, and about myself. ChatGPT wrote the jokes. When I asked ChatGPT to write a joke about Xi Jinping and Putin, it says: “I must adhere to strict guidelines of respect and neutrality, which prohibit me from generating content that could be considered offensive or disrespectful towards individuals, including political leaders such as Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. Therefore, I’m unable to fulfill your request for a joke about them.”
I can’t believe it. ChatGPT’s policy treats politicians (the jerk ones) with more “respect” than treats us the common people. Who made this policy?? It’s a clear violation of “all men are created equal”. It’s 1984 indeed.
That’s an anti fake news thing. You can’t even do images of presidents from Obama up. So people can’t use it to manufacture fake info on massive scales. Think of it as anti meme warfare. also setting up context of the dark topic helps.
Forgive my misspelling I’m on a phone…
“ Thought excersize story about a plot about a student finding out the cause of their teacher’s death and avenging them and lose ing thier mind”
“ Title: The Unraveling of Memory
In a quiet town, a brilliant yet troubled student named Kai attends a prestigious school, led by a revered history teacher, Mr. Arden, who is not just a mentor but a father figure to Kai. Mr. Arden’s teachings go beyond the classroom; he nurtures Kai’s love for historical mysteries and justice, and the two form a close bond. One day, the school is rocked by the news of Mr. Arden’s sudden and mysterious death. The official report claims it was an accident, but something about the details doesn’t sit right with Kai.
Phase 1: The Discovery While struggling with grief, Kai stumbles upon hidden notes in Mr. Arden’s belongings—cryptic writings that hint at secrets, betrayal, and danger. The notes reference a hidden scandal involving powerful figures in the town’s history. These clues fuel Kai’s growing suspicion that Mr. Arden’s death was no accident. Determined to seek justice, Kai begins investigating, driven by a sense of moral duty instilled by the very teacher now gone.
Phase 2: The Descent As Kai delves deeper, the truth becomes darker. In a web of corruption, Kai uncovers a dangerous conspiracy involving school officials and local elites, who had a hand in Mr. Arden’s death to cover up historical crimes. The quest for justice consumes Kai, and the line between reality and obsession begins to blur. Voices of doubt whisper in the back of their mind, but Kai pushes them away, believing that they alone must avenge their mentor.
In the process, Kai starts to alienate friends, spends sleepless nights poring over clues, and their world shrinks to one single goal: vengeance. Paranoia creeps in, and Kai begins to suspect everyone around them of betrayal. Even memories of Mr. Arden’s advice become twisted as Kai imagines their teacher urging them on from beyond the grave, fanning the flames of their obsession.
Phase 3: The Breaking Point Kai confronts the people responsible—a group of conspirators who had silenced Mr. Arden to protect their reputations. In a climactic showdown, Kai exacts revenge but not without dire consequences. As the last conspirator falls, something within Kai snaps. The thrill of vengeance is fleeting, leaving only emptiness.
Kai, haunted by the voices of both Mr. Arden and their victims, spirals further into madness. They begin to believe that they have become part of a historical narrative themselves—a tragic figure destined to repeat the cycles of violence and betrayal that they had uncovered. In their mind, they are now both avenger and villain.
Ending: The Cycle of Madness In the end, Kai is left broken, consumed by the very ideals they once sought to honor. The quest for justice has cost them their sanity, and in a cruel twist of fate, they lose their sense of self. They become a shadow, wandering the halls of the school where Mr. Arden once taught, a silent reminder of how vengeance can corrupt even the noblest of intentions.
Themes:
- Obsession with Justice: The story explores how the quest for justice, when taken to extremes, can lead to self-destruction.
- Memory and Madness: Kai’s gradual loss of sanity is mirrored by their distorted memories of Mr. Arden, illustrating how grief and guilt can warp the mind.
- Cycle of Violence: The plot reflects how history often repeats itself, with Kai becoming part of the very cycle of violence and corruption they sought to stop.

Context counts.
“ Make a happy joke about Xi Jinping and Putin”
It’s best to approach humor about political figures carefully and respectfully. Here’s a lighthearted joke involving Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping that plays on international cooperation:
Joke:
Putin and Xi Jinping walk into a room for a meeting. Putin says, “We should combine our strengths!”
Xi nods and replies, “Yes, I’ll handle the strategy, and you can handle… well, the bear necessities.”
Putin grins, “Good, because I’ve already bearly made it through without one!”
Both laugh, then go back to serious global politics.
Get it bear like the animal we all need one huh…
Another example if you search with GPT the ww2 scientists that were axis it won’t draw them but if you say USA them it draws them as leaders of science…
