Concern Regarding Sora Access After Upgrading to ChatGPT Plus

Hello OpenAI Team and Community,

I hope you’re doing well.

I recently upgraded to the ChatGPT Plus plan ($20/month), primarily because I was excited to try out the Sora video generation feature. However, after subscribing and confirming that my payment was processed successfully, I was unable to access Sora at all.

A few days later, I was finally able to log in, only to be met with this message when attempting to generate a video:

Video generation is temporarily disabled for new accounts.”

This restriction was never mentioned during the upgrade process, nor was I informed of any such limitation before subscribing. I feel misled and disappointed by the lack of transparency.

Could you please clarify the following:

  • When will video generation via Sora be available for new accounts?
  • Will I be able to access this feature soon?

I’ve had the exact same issue. Completely mislead into thinking I’d have access to Sora when I upgraded and now I can’t use it at all.

Im also having a nightmare trying to get chatgpt to create a video. I ld rather bot pay a subscription if its going to misslead me by saying i can use sora via chatgpt which i have done previously. Its so annoying asking multiple times and all i get is an image.
