I’ve been a ChatGPT Plus subscriber for months, and everything was fine — until this week.
Now, running just two small Codex Cloud tasks instantly consumed my entire 5-hour limit and 30% of my weekly quota. Seriously?
These were two short C# tasks, not massive codebases or long computations. It feels like the system suddenly started counting every second of CPU time as hours of usage.
If this is a bug, please fix it. If it’s a new policy, please say it out loud.
Paying users deserve transparency, not silent quota nerfs.
Judging by other threads, I’m clearly not the only one. Everyone’s hitting the “weekly limit” after just a couple of runs.
OpenAI, we love your tools — but right now, Codex Cloud feels like a 5-hour speedrun challenge instead of a productivity feature.
Please clarify what’s going on, or many Plus users will simply stop using this feature.
Same here. I’m shocked, this came completely unannounced and the limits are a joke, as a Plus user few prompts ate my entire WEEK’S LIMIT + 48 USD EXTRA CREDITS I BOUGHT + the code it created didn’t even work!
If this is where the platform is headed count me out.
I never got any credit? I am on a plus plan and we are leaving shortly because we cant do any work. The pro plan limits are still massively under what we used to do.
Can you confirm that you have reduced your usage limits to basically 5 prompts over 5 hours and that 5 prompts will use 25% of your weekly limit?
