Are Codex Pro limits now stricter after the recent update too?

I’ve been using the Codex Plus plan daily without any issues till this morning. I hit my limit after just two 10 mins runs. So at this rate it’s unusable for me.

I was considering the Pro codex plan for daily coding but with the recent changes, I’m not sure if the limits there are any better. Even if Pro offered 10× the current Plus credits, it still wouldn’t cut it because the plus limits are incredibly low.

ps. I was using it through the cloud GUI.

I must say, Codex Cloud’s new ‘two-tasks-to-limit’ system is quite impressive — I’ve never seen my quota disappear faster.
If this was meant to simulate real-world production stress, mission accomplished. :sweat_smile:

Little update, I just upgraded from Plus to Pro. Looks like they’re giving around 20x the weekly quota and 12x the quota for the 5-hour windows. Honestly, just enough, I think it’d cost me more to look for an alternative. Haven’t noticed any speed improvements though. good play OAI :slight_smile:

This is exactly what OpenAI wants – hopefully more cancel like myself. Been using TRAE and it’s actually been more accurate than Codex.

I encountered the same thing. I’ve been using Codex consistently for a couple months now. Time to look for something else, because at this current rate, it’s almost useless.

So instead of two tasks I can do 40 tasks? That’s still only one afternoon at my pace, and since 10% of the PRs still fail it’s a pretty daunting deal :slight_smile:

@OpenAI_Support did admit they messed up the token calculations so it’s obviously not supposed to work like this, just waiting an update to roll-in… any minute now. :old_man:
