I did a cumulative update for Windows yesterday late. Wondering if this is part of the issue.
Also, I turned off my VPN and briefly the up arrow button lit up - and then went dead again.
Hoping we can get to the root cause ourselves since OpenAI seems unaware of the issue.
Try Deferent Servers, if doesn’t work’s then please wait for OpenAI Community server response
I have the same problem but maybe have the solution here. You just have to press the button enter a few seconds instead of pressing the key one time. Sorry for my English I’m french guy by the way

Potential workaround for some…
The mobile apps seem to work fine, and from a PC I can view any of my chats, even if sending a prompt hangs. So as a workaround for me, I’m using the phone for inputs and using the PC to grab things to use in documents I’m creating.
Just thought I’d share…

Pressing enter multiple times sends the request multiple times also. I managed to wipe out my quota doing this earlier on. One chat had 22 replies and it was glitchy as hell.

same issue here, weirdly, the free version works fine, but the pro version does not…

I am having the same issue. I tried clearing all cookies, data, etc. and used different browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) and I am still having this issue. But, if I do not sign in and test/use Chatgpt without signing in, it works ? Odd… Hope there is a solution very soon!

Press the enter button a couple of seconds like 3 or 4, and then it should work.
