A basic error.
I tried to use the chatgpt app in voice mode connected to my bluetooth box, but I couldn’t. Does not work. When turning on the box, chat audio is directed to the ear’s sound output. I searched and other people reported the same problem
Same issue here on pixel android with samsung galaxy buds pro 2. Works with wired headphones, and also with other bluetooth headphones. Other apps works with the galaxy buds. Seems there is some compatibility issue with the samsung galaxy buds pro 2.
settings
Device details
disable LE audio
should work after that
Chatgpt android app is completely unuseful with Bluetooth headset. Headset Bluetooth mic is not recognised
Any news ? Same issue here. That’s quite difficult to understand why this is still not answered by OpenAI after all these years.
It looks like this issue has been mentioned in another post as well, and the OpenAI team has acknowledged the problem.

Cannot get ChatGPT to use my Bluetooth headset for discussion
Hi Joseph
I saw your videos over AI. Very interesting stuff. Good projects and ideas. After that I thought that I’ll come in touch with you, but didn’t had the time. And now I find you here with the same Chargpt Bluetooth problem. I’m a softy (Software engineer), but with hardware and a soldering iron I’m useless.
My bluetooth problem is unsolved and that’s really troublesome. ;(
Well I did find one work around. I used Google Gemini. Bluetooth comes out of Bernards mouth just fine, and using the live chat, it in essence gives him eyes too, he can see what’s around him. Of course Gemini doesn’t allow for the personality that openAI does.
