ChatGPT app stopped working over Bluetooth

ChatGPT worked over Bluetooth for many months just fine, I definitely had conversations with it while driving on December 29th, and probably more recently, too.

It has stopped working in the last few weeks, though. Now when I try to make a voice call/chat with ChatGPT, if it’s connected to my car via Bluetooth, it immediately disconnects, no matter how many times I try to connect, whether advanced voice mode or classic voice mode. This has happened on multiple days and is not due to an outage.

If I disable Bluetooth and try to connect, it works fine over the phone’s speaker.

I have tried ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini and I get the same issue with my car bluetooth. Starts fine but then cut out. The only AI app that seems to work in “conversation” mode is Pi, which I think is only available on iPhone.

It’s not that it cuts out, exactly, but it starts to connect and then fails? No audio plays. Anyway I’ve switched to perplexity app instead.
