Hey I took a quick look and we do not seem to a region-wide issue again, either for South America or Israel, like we had fixed previously in this community thread. Could you please a support ticket by emailing support@openai.com with your user and request specific details so our team can help you investigate your specific case further? If you can generate a HAR file after reproducing the issue again, that would help with our investigation. Thank you!
@OpenAI_Support there is a contradiction between what was recommended here and what support actually told me in case #06867033 (email).
I followed the instruction in this thread and emailed support (with this forum context), but my request was refused. I was told that resets are not possible, even though this post says that impacted users could contact support to have their deep research rate limits reset due to unexpected consumption.
I was impacted, and I am still impacted, because I cannot use these tools until the end of my monthly cycle. In practice, I paid for a month of service and, because of a platform incident, I was not able to use the full value of what I subscribed to.
When users are told publicly that support can help with resets, and then support says the opposite by email, it creates frustration and undermines trust. If a reset is truly not possible, then there should be a fair alternative for affected users, such as service credit, bonus usage, or a temporary extension or upgrade.
Otherwise, the customer is effectively absorbing the cost of a platform failure.
Could you please clarify which message is correct: affected users can receive a reset, or no reset is technically possible and no alternative remedy will be provided?
Does anyone received these rate limits reset?
Hey Andredbm, apologies for the confusion here. I've taken over the ticket and performed an one-time reset of your deep research rate limits.
So I am having the same issue. Since the bug was fixed, every attempt at a deep research I make results in the message “rate limit has been reached” and I could not get it reset talking to OpenAI’s suport. I have only made one successful deep research in the past 2 months due to this, I think the system is counting failed attemps as used tokens. Can you help me get it fixed please?
Hi Pedro - I grabbed your support ticket and manually reset your deep research rate limits.
When I click deep research nothing happens and all of my past results won’t show up anymore.
